Hop aboard your high-performance personal watercraft and leave the competition in your wake with this successor to 1996's Wave Race 64. One of only three titles available for the September 2001 Japanese launch of the Nintendo console, this tweaked-out jet ski racer is designed to offer fast-paced action and comfortable control. Like the N64 original (and other earlier titles such as the PlayStation's Jet Moto or the Dreamcast's Hydro Thunder), Wave Race: Blue Storm blends a sophisticated physics model of realistically dynamic water surfaces with an accessible control scheme for the powerful craft that race across them.<br><br>Though the goal is to be first to the finish, racers who can perform impressive stunts and tricks along the way are rewarded with turbo boosts. In turn, turbo boosts can allow the racer to blast through to otherwise inaccessible areas and shortcuts. The game features completely revamped versions of all of the courses from the original Wave Race 64 as well as new levels designed especially for this 128-bit generation sequel. Modes of play include a single player story mode, in which new tracks and other special features can be unlocked, and multiplayer options that allow up to four racers to compete at once.

This was a gift for my 63 year old dad and 65 year old mother lol. It was her favorite game many years ago and somehow daddy gave it away without asking 😉.... Daughter to the rescue a decade later lol. They love it!!

Wave Race-Pros and cons
Wave Race is a very fun game that will keep you entertained for hours. Wave Race's groundbreaking graphics blew me away when it game out a couple of years ago. The realism of the waves, the dolphins jumping around me, and the splash of water as it hit the camera are all very clear, crisp, and very entertaining. The downside of waverace is its lack of cusuzamation. I hate having to go on the left and right side of the buoys is very frustrating. There is the occasional glitch but that happens. Free ride is the most fun and if there was only a free ride 2 or 4 players as opposed to just one this would get 5 stars. Wave Race Blue Storm is a Splash Hit!
Gameplay: Game is fun once you get used to the sometimes challenging controls. Steering is hard but not broken. There are plenty of modes including championship, time trial, stunt mode, multiplayer, and free roam. Has a tutorial with helpful instructions on stunts. Graphics: Graphics are looking a little dated overall, but the water and weather effects are top notch!! Sound: Background music is exactly that and the wave runners seem accurate. Occasionally the crew captain can get annoying but its not too bad. Presentation: Presentation of this game is decent as it has some great menu water effects. Reminds me of Hydro Thunder on the N64 as well as the original Wave Race. Lasting Appeal: This game will last you a long time as it has a strong multiplayer and addictive gameplay. Why did ... Wonderfull sport experience
The game provides an amazing experience, full of action, and interesting graphics. It is very much recommended because it is compatible with the Wii console which means you will have a lot of fun from here to the future. For those gamers who used to play the N64 wave race, notice this is an enhanced version with more interesting options and stages. The graphics of the characters makes them looks more real and there is a special personality very well designed for each one. Music has been updated according to the speed of the game and it makes a perfect match.The game provides an amazing experience, full of action, and interesting graphics. It is very much recommended because it is compatible with the Wii console which means you will have a lot of fun from here to the future.
