Serviceable replacement for mount which had a broken ear. To avoid motherboard removal, I did not use the supplied base or screws. My original base used 1 size larger diameter screws. I used the original base and screws which did fit through the holes on the new mount, without modification.

Product advertises that it fits AM4 socket, which is correct, however, it is oversized compared to OEM ones and I had to cut it to fit it with the capacitors near my CPU socket. It works, it's cheaply made though and probably will be replacing it with an OEM when I can get my hands on it.

Didn't know if it would fit into the tight space I had, but this does work for socket 775. Used it on an old system where I wanted to add a Rosewill cooler. It's a good cooler, but for AMD sockets, so I bought this item to use as an adapter. Perfect. This system is much easier to install than the Intel turn and push pin arrangement, that's for sure. Just select the indicated position for your socket for the pins and push the pin in until it locks.

I love this heat sink. Small compact and quiet - it will fit into the smallest computer case, but yet, will do the work just fine. I use it with all my microITX boards processors and so far they all are working perfect. I got my first one like this about 5 years ago and ever since then I prefer to use only this type. I like my computers small, compact and quiet. This fan will do the trick. So far none of them failed yet. Would I recommend one like this to others? Yes, if you like them small and quiet. Not sure how it would perform in gaming systems. But in office and creative environment it works just fine.

I can personally say this works for an AM2 socket. If you have a motherboard with the regular stock black AM2 mount the plastic will degrade over time and the heat sink will just drop off. This item is a must have item for those running these legacy computers. You will not regret having a spare when you hear that clunk of the CPU heatsink falling off and your machine shuts down.
