This is a really good portable desk if in fact you place it on a solid surface. I purchased this item specifically to use in the bed and it does pose some problems. Lying on the bed and moving around the desk has to have different configurations on each side because a persons body makes the bed not a solid surface. I have to stay still in order for the desk to work. When I get out of the bed,, the computer slides off and I have to readjust everything every time. On a table or on a sofa this is a great desk. Like I said, it just needs a solid surface.

This stand is over designed as a "Bed Tray" but too short to use as a "Floor Stand." The positioning of the "Mouse Pad" area is fixed and not at an ideal height. Moreover, its size doesn't lend itself to using a mouse pad. All that said, it is well made, albeit over designed for use as a bed tray and while it has holes that would allow for a cooling fan, there is no practical way to mount a fan, nor are the holes well positioned for effective fan use. All in all, a rather disappointing purchase of a product that could, based on its construction, have been an excellent product. I will never understand why companies stop thinking about the design of their products too soon.

It Is a lightweight stand that I can easily leave beside my bed and still use it whenever I want. This stand can be adjusted to whatever angle that works for my laptop work.

I would give It higher rating if it was not so wide. The stands are too wide for sofa cushions and get wedged in between the cushions unless you are sitting between 2 cushions. WIll work great in bed.
