I've found Vibra 16C cards work well with DOS with a few hiccups. First, you must set the sound drivers up properly in AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS. This is a PnP card so those drivers are a must. Secondly, the sound output can be distorted with the default setup. You must go into the DOS mixer and set the volume down a bit to get rid of any cracks and pops you may experience. I've found that every card needs mixer settings set slightly different to do this. This card can be a bit challenging to get working in a DOS environment but once you do I haven't found a game that won't use it. Oh, also, some games like Jill of the Jungle require a low DMA to work properly with digital sound. Depending on your PC's setup this may not be possible. Some games that require low DMA do have patches to get around this, so you may have to hunt the Internet to find and install these patches.Read full review

Digital audio was fully developed before the advent of the PC and when ported to desktops was one of the best features available. Video and LAN had a long way to go as well as the speed of every other component from CPU and RAM to hard disks. Legacy systems are still very popular because of excellent playback and record from cards like this.

It's 100% functional but a little stain around the jacks.
