I personally am a big fan of the lion king. After the excellent Lion King SNES game, I thought I'd give this a try. Unfortunately, this game has a bunch of flaws and falls way short of the first. This game is a 3D platformer. Simba is controlled in a very conventional way. You run through levels with a Roar, Pounch and roll attack. The control feels very stiff and could be better. This does not ruin the game experience, but it detracts from it. The game goes through the story from the first and underrated second movie. People who haven't seen these movies will have huge trouble following the plot, because of the poor story telling. This is an average movie game. If you are a fan of Lion King, you may find some enjoyment out of it. 6.5/10
The Lion King is one of my favorite movies, so I'm sure that the game is going to be fun. The game (like the movie) follows Simba to adulthood and like the movie, Simba has to defeat Scar in the end. Thank you.

The game is fun and there are spots where you can stop and get directions on the controls. Harder to control for younger kids since it's a 3D environment. Kids will need some assistance in getting started...remind them to work slowly through the game and listen for the clues. Game is pretty non-violent.... some animated violence and Simba "roars" to get rid of bugs and small animals in his path (they just vaporize).
I bought this for my son and he loves it he plays it over and over and over.

My son and have enjoyed this game tremendously. It was fun and easy enough for a 4 1/2 year old to play. I bought this game for my son b/c a friend gave us a PS1 game system and we didn't have any games and my son loves the Lion King. Glad I made the purchase.
