I have installed and tested this quite a bit. Be aware that when first installed, it can be a little tight. But after a very few repetitions, the pull and return are smooth and reliable. It makes possible the easy use of detachable magazines with the SKS. I have tested both Tapco and Promag, and they work well with this trigger. I read about some users needing to sand these replacements down a bit to make them work. In my Chinese SKS, all that was needed were a few pulls to smooth things out.

Go get the the super rapid release from texas firearms best 60$ you will spend for your sks with tapco mags. This “polymer” tapco mag release broke in half with almost no force at all and im not even that strong. Yes i tried seeing if it would hold up to me trying to break in my right hand. Waste of $$$

A great idea and works vary well , I had one on my rifle for years , I recently when shooting at the local shooting range . After ten rounds through my Chinese SKS. The long pull tab broke off . Lucky for me after looking in my parts kit in my range bag I had the original mag. Lock . Replaced on location and continued to shoot . Great idea just wish it was made of an more solid material (NOT ) polymer. THANKS

Probably the least expensive extended mag release for SKS, this part fit my Norinco SKs perfectly, without modification. Installing it was simple and took about five minutes, requiring a punch and small hammer. No problem. The extended mag release works well, fits well, was very inexpensive and looks right on my rifle, which also has a composite stock. What more could I want?
