Ive have read mixed reviews on this crossbow. I was a little hesitant before I purchased the 390.I had a Centerpoint 370 and straight out of the box it was very accurate. The Merc 390 is not as accurate out of the box. It takes some tweaking and playing with different bolt weights to dial it in. If you are not familiar with the mechanics or how to dial in a crossbow or scoped weapon you will struggle with this. It is not a starter crossbow. Now, having said all that. Once you get this crossbow figured out and dialed in. I would put it against any $2k or $3k crossbow out there. I have to purposely pull my shots off a little because it now holds such a tight group you will be shooting and damaging you other bolts. Super fast and super smooth. I recommend lock tight on your screws/bolts when you assemble the crossbow just to guarantee they don’t become loose. Other than that. For the money you will not beat this crossbow.Read full review

Very nice crossbow and made well, but I don't think it will shoot no where near 390fps more like 330fps. The scope is awful, but not bad for the money. Wish I had gotten a Barnett.
