I would give this item a 5 star rating were it not for an overly high price for a molded plastic part.. That said, the item function and quality of manufacture is excellent. I have doubts concerning the long term durability as this removable plastic part that locks into a metal (?) magazine well being subjected to numerous recoil and removal -insertion cycles through normal use.

First time I used it, I loaded my ammo. Cyled and fired one round. Then I ejected the clip and it sprung apart, sending ammo everywhere. It can not be put back together, as there is some type of plastic clip or something that is missing and keeps the whole thing together.

Fits my Tika rifle perfectly. Gives me an extra two 300 Win Mag rounds for five total. Extra length also makes easier to change mags with gloves.

Fits fine in my Tikka T3x Lite 300 Win Mag. It only holds 4 rounds of 300 Win Mag but I was expecting that. For only holding 4 rounds, not sure why it so much taller than the factory 3 round mag. It is quite a bit taller so it sticks out the bottom of the rifle quite a lot to the point it will effect how you carry the rifle one handed... I loaded it up with some factory Federal Premium 185 Gr Berger HP's to cycle them through the action. The last round was tipped down and the mag spring didn't have enough "ooomph" to push the tip up. Guess I'll have to work on that issue. It's pretty much all plastic with a leaf spring and plastic follower... I have no idea why it costs $39.95 other than you are paying for the name "Tikka"... It's probably about $5 worth of plastic molded parts. That's the world we live in nowadays. Read full review
