I bought this guitar as a steel-stringed alternative to my classical guitar. The key features that sold me were the AC340's modest price, a concert body shape that approximates classical guitars, the presence of a mahogany-like solid top which would emphasize mid-range tones and the 45mm nut width which would make the migration from classical guitar a bit more tolerable. This guitar proved to be all of those things and more. The build quality is outstanding -- something I've come to expect from Ibanez through the years. Even the unique OPN (open pore finish) is proving to be a pleasant change from the gloss which I usually prefer on my guitars, eliminating those distracting fingerprints which reflect off the surfaces of poly-surfaced guitars in brightly-lit settings. The tone is carefully nuanced with the mid-range bias I was seeking. String preference is yet to be determined and a bridge plate transducer will soon be added to allow amp use, as the body size and Okoume top are not specifically designed to project abundant volume like a spruce-topped dreadnought. This is a bargain-priced guitar with quality construction and surprisingly refined mid-tone-biased sound. Read full review

Awesome playability, smooth action, and the open pore neck makes it easy to move up and down the neck. The shorter scale makes fretting a breeze. Sounds great and stays in tune pretty well. Definitely worth a look if you’re a finger style player, and even if you’re not it is so easy to play, I could recommend this guitar to anyone.
