This is a high quality guitar. I own several that cost $4,000 more and there is slight difference but not enough. The fit and finish is flawless and with the satin finish it hided finger prints and smudge really well. The grain in the soundboard and the sides and back are very nice with good visual appeal. However, there are things that make this guitar great. It just looks great. You can't beat the color. It sets well in your lap and it's not too big to reach around. The neck feels great all the way up and down. I still have room to use my thumb to hold the E string. But the fretboard makes the strings move with ease. However it is the sound that really impressed me. You can really pick out the blues and take it down. Flatpicking is a blast because the neck lets you fly over the frets or if you like you can do a slow crawl over them just to get the sound you like. I have J45, D28 and this can stand up with them. Its nuts I know but it can. Your interested in it, Loar is a high quality guitar/instrument maker thats been around for many years. This won't break your bank to get it. Put your strings on it and you will be impressed. Read full review

This guitar will give you a vintage, professional sound, but it won't fill a large room with it. It's a great guitar to do covers with, the materials it's made out of and craftsmanship are exceptional, and it's obviously beautiful to look at. The finish is sleek and comfortable too, making it all the more enjoyable to play. I can't recommend this guitar enough for people who want the best guitar to learn and/or play on without dropping a thousand dollars on a real professional grade instrument. Simply put, this is the perfect middle-ground ground guitar. It sounds as good if not better than ridiculously high end guitars that break a thousand dollars due to it's unique combination of woods and shape. The compensation of room-filling noise seems like an intentional design choice to keep the cost down, which I see as a great decision to make this instrument more versatile and affordable in the long run. Hence, five stars.Read full review
