I purchased my first A6000 new in Black at a camera store! I do a lot of photography work and I wound up for quick change and a need for telephoto and short range Photos. With that said, wanted to be able to move and change quickly and this extra A6000 suits the bill. Great size and quite a shopping list of features. Not real exited about the wireless, but I did not buy it for wireless!

I received my camera yesterday. When I opened the package, I saw the camera body loosely wrapped in an open soft-foam like sheet, with no body cap on the sensor. When I took the camera out, I could already see couple dusts sticking on the sensor. So the first thing I had to do with this camera was to try to clean the sensor before putting on my lens. I used air blow together with Sony's sensor cleaning, and still couldn't remove some of the dusts. This was very frustrating and unexpected. Although I know the original kit lens was taken off in this package, I wasn't expecting that the sensor was just left exposed like that. One thing for sure is that the first photo I took with this camera definitely had dust shadows on it. Liking this camera a lot, I still seriously suggest adding the body cap to the camera body before selling it.Read full review

Added this refurbished body as a second body to my new venture into the a6000 world. This little camera works on so may levels for me. I have helped 2 other people get into these sweet little cameras. Was a Pentax SLR and DLSR user for 40 years. Worked for Pentax for a number of years. Have a bunch of Pentax glass and was doing all I could to hold out for a full frame Pentax. Shot a good number of weddings over the years. Travel to Africa, India and Eastern Europe and shoot for a monthly publication, among other duties when I travel. I need easy and capable. I want to not go backward on image quality and croping options. Not only those needs, I would love to enjoy photography again and not be in that "... no fun to shoot anymore." Seems the a6000 has done that on every level. I really think Sony either made a mistake when they crammed so much into the a6000 or they have somehow woke up and decided to give a customer all they could for their hard earned camera dollars. This little camera has so much going for it, it somehow convinced me to let go of my obsession of going to full frame, and man, I can't tell you how I just had to have a FF camera. After comparing image quality with some full frame cameras, and seeing to small light weight of the a6000, I jumped in and am real pleased with this camera. My DSLR's viewfinder is great, you can see real time what the lens sees. There is no delay, and you don't miss any action because it is through the lens optical. However, it is a bit difficult to focus my old Pentax lenses due to no split prism, and the focusing screen. The a6000's viewfinder works great in bright sun. It also is so fast that you don't loose any action. The focusing image seems to me to work so much better with the old manual focus lens, so well that at times it is more fun than the excellent and hyper capable auto focus. For street photography in Africa you don't want a huge DSLR that intimidates, you want small and unobtrusive, that is the a6000. You also want fast and accurate auto focus, that is the a6000. Even in low light, having a camera that shoots 11 frames per second, almost guarantees that you will get a least one non-blurry pic in a burst. Delete all the blurry ones back at your computer and you can't help but smile that you beat the low light blurry blues. The video is full time auto focus if you us auto focus lenses. Imagine, it continuously focuses just like a quality video camera, not like the focus once DSLRs. You can even teach it whose face you want it to stay focused on, and it will lock on that face no matter where it goes in your viewfinder. If I had to identify some item that keeps this camera from being perfect, since we know nothing is ever perfect... it would be battery related. Wish the battery lasted longer. It's not a deal killer for me, even though I go to Africa and don't always have electricity to charge things. I just bought a few extra batteries on eBay and haven't had a problem. The batteries are small and easy to carry a bunch of them if necessary. They also are chargeable with a standard 5v USB charger, which males charging even easier with cheap chargers and even charging with a solar panel. Most of all, all the pieces of this camera seem to make it all fun again... and we know if it is not fun, we won't be shooting as much and we then won't be getting as many good shots.Read full review
a great entry level inter-changeable lens camera without breaking the bank. love the ability to do multi-shots in 11fps. Although it takes a few more seconds to save in RAW & jpg and playback, the high quality is worth the wait.

This lightweight marvel of technology holds up to the good reviews. The pictures quality is fantastic! Sure it has a million technical things to learn and get use to, but I was also able to start taking pictures right away. I will look into the more special features when I have more time.
