Easier to replace on my 2011 F10 528i than online videos depict. Original PVC value came off easily/cleanly, in one piece, by just prying off, was simple to glue this new valve in it's place. Works good.

valve cover breather check valve
This cap and the check valve diaphragm ordered earlier for a total of $40 saved me over a thousand dollars. The IBM solution is to replace the whole valve cover assy which costs $400 plus the 6 hours labor.
