    Great product

    Looked a several different locks. This was tge OEM of them. Glad I chose this one , easy installation, fit like a glove and the programmable cylinder was easy. Used my door/ignition key. Now, one key opens and starts the truck . Always choose OEM !!!

    I must have received a knock-off

    I’m not quite sure why this product is rated so high unless I was sent a Japanese knock off version which is entirely possible. This is eBay after all. The product was not a simple plug and play. It took me an hour of extra tweaking to get the lock to work half way properly. Once it’s locked, it’s fine, but it’s not smooth as butter like I would expect from the factory. Kind of disappointed. Wouldn’t mind if it was $20, not $50. I could have traveled to the dealership and got a real one. Lesson learned.

    OEM tailgate lock

    Great factory part and worked without issue and being able to simply insert your ignition key to program the lock was a great feature no need to have an extra key to carry around highly recommended part

    Awesome item,

    There has been a lot of theft in our neighborhood and having a tailgate with no locking mechanism to where someone could just come up and take it they will. And a tailgate on a 07 Chevy Silverado is very pricey especially when your insurance probably won't take care of it. So you wind up taking the thousand-dollar hit. so this is a very good alternative having the locking mechanism for the tailgate very very cool if you're going to get one of these don't walk run to get one. Procrastination will only wind up with you missing a tailgate.
