Of course, it's hard to really know how an oil filter is really working. In this case, it's being used on a 1961 John Deere 1010 tractor. To me, the "O" ring gasket is as important as the filter. If they don't seal right the first time, you have to drain the canister down, remove the cover, and try again for a proper seal. it's always a mess if this happens. This one worked good the first time with no leaks. That was nice.
