Guard those lights!
The signal lights on a John Deere 1025R are mounted on the outside of the ROPS and thus are vulnerable to impacts with stationary objects as you work. Now that tractor has a lot of torque and trees are heavy things so even at slow mowing speeds you can easily shear the lights off the ROPS and/or crush the light lens - especially as the lights are behind the operator. These guards provide some protection by taking the brunt of the strikes. Things can still go badly - as I learned - if you are too confident once the guards are installed but it is a step in the right direction. I will say that these required modification to fit on my 2017 1025R. My folding ROPS model has the lights mounted on a little bracket attached to the ROPS so as to raise the lights up the ROPS hinge point and ... Great protection.
These light protectors are just what I should have gotten right off the bat. I broke a light within an hour of owning a tractor. I'm going to have to work a little harder to break one now. Super easy installation as well. Just use the bolts already holding the lights to the ROPS.

About time
My tractor came without guards and the taillights were getting whacked when working near brushy areas since day one. Then I saw the newer production models had guards. These should help save the taillights and the brackets provide a place to mount small work lights that will be helpful when blowing snow this winter.
