Inexpensive & Useful
Watch repair tools works for our needs. Quality may not be something a jeweler would find okay, but they get the job done - just treat the tools well. We buy storage units and sell the contents locally and online. We've been gathering a huge collection of watches and needed a means to open backs to replace batteries; and tools to repair/ replace bands. We may only use all the tools in here but, to buy the ones we do use individually would have cost the same or more than we paid for this nice kit. Bottom line: the first watch we used the kit on (Citizen divers watch) to replace the battery and put a new band on we sold on eBay for $100. More than enough to pay for the kit. We received the kit about 2 - 3 weeks ago and have used it to repair and list for sale around 10 watches in our spare ... Watch repair tools works for our needs. Good value, fair quality.
This kit offers a lot of items at a low price and is practical for the amateur who doesn't want to make a trip to a watch store for every little thing. However, it is typical Chinese quality. The tools are not high quality. For example, I used the pin press to shorten my wife's watch bracelet (stainless steel Citizen). I popped out several pins with ease. However when I was having trouble fully extracting a couple pins, I thought, maybe I'm pushing the pins out the wrong direction (I don't have the best eyesight for determining the right direction). So I decided to push the pin out the opposite direction. I turned the knob a little too hard, I guess, and the pin pusher shaft (?) snapped/broke. I think I can still use it but my first thought was "typical Chinese quality." Everybody need this!
The item is very much worth the money. Its a very good tool to have around the house to change your own watch batteries and repair eye glasses and other little that may need your attention. I believe every home should have one of these watch repair kit. Also anyone who are in to collecting watches like I do and have to take your watches to a jewelers shop to replace the batteries can get very expensive. If you got your own watch repair kit it will save you a LOT! of money on watch batteries. Thank you and God bless.The item is very much worth the money. Great little kit to own
This is a very helpful kit! I didn't realize how much I needed the press for seating the case backs on some of the watches I own! This is a good kit to have to avoid going to the jewelers shop for costly minor repairs! I would recommend investing in a better pop off case back opener for sure.The screw down case back opener works great tho. You might want to get a nice set of jewelers screw drivers as well. The ones that come with the kit could be better. For the amount of useable things that you get I would say that this kit is well worth the price for the average hobbits like my self.This is a very helpful kit!
