This sheath is almost as good as any of the contemporary ones but falls far short of the quality of a world war two sheath. It seems ironic that they could make nicer sheaths under the daily threat of annihilation by the Germans than whoever, wherever is making these. My major complaint is the poor fit. The sheath is almost an inch too long and there is a terrible chemical odor from whatever tanning process was used. The only redeeming grace is it is a fair quality for a fair price. Even poorly conditioned WW-II sheaths now sell for as much as $100 whereas these reproductions cost about $20-30. I would like to see someone step up and offer a sheath with 70 year old quality for a fair price today. I would gladly pay $50 for a better sheath if I could find one. I know what I am talking about and you can visit my website on Fairbairn Sykes fighting knives to view the differences.Read full review
