This phone has been one of the most durable phones I have ever owned. The size is perfect with perfect features. It is very compact and very durable and has an extremely long battery life. Excellent choice.

very old, very used, some numbers need to be pressed several times to register this is not unexpected considering the age purchased as an emergency spare and it'll do for that purpose

The Pros should be obvious: cheap, simple, effective, durable. It's certainly got that and that's why I use it. No frills, but good at what it does. The Cons are little annoying things that can really get on the nerves: my buttons are edgy- sometimes pressing one doesn't register anything, sometimes pressing one makes it input the number twice! This is especially annoying because you don't want to look at the screen every time you dial - it's a cell phone, you're on the move! So every couple of calls you make a wrong call or dial an invalid number. Secondly, to text message you have to "edit message" in order to type the text, and then exit that page, find the "edit recipients" page and put in names. If you press send immediately from the "edit message" page it tells you there are no recipients and makes you go find the "edit recipients" page. A smarter phone - and this isn't so complicated - would just take you directly to a screen where you can input recipients. This is an annoying feature of older Nokias.Read full review
This phone was one of the coolest phones a kid could get back in 2003. I was 13, and pined greatly for a cool, fun Nokia with Xpresson snap on covers and that awesome "Espionage" ringtone that kids used to play on the back of the bus. Sadly, I was never able to obtain a Nokia back when they were cool, and instead bought an Audiovox Snapper flip-phone when I got to high school. Fast-forward to 2015, and I now have a collection of these 6015i phones. They were one of the few Nokia candy-bar phones that were made for Verizon (generally Verizon had clam-shell style Nokias). Since they were fairly numerous, it isn't terribly hard to find one on Ebay these days, but I am always willing to pay for them. Why??? ... Because it's 2015 and these phones still freakin' work!!! Seriously - where else are you going to find a 10+ year old cell phone that still works like a dream? Not many places, I tell you. This is due to the durability and high quality workmanship that the Finns put into their handsets. Here is a Cons and Pros list, Cons first: The keypad on this phone tends to wear out quickly with heavy texting. By the time you find one on Ebay, the keypad may very well be shot, unless it is marked as "new". The actual LCD screen/keypad assembly has to be replaced on a phone with a heavily used keypad, which will require some surgery. Not terribly difficult if you own a set of star-head screw-drivers. Some of these phones have issues with "blue screen of death". Apparently the connectors between the circuit board and the LCD will become corroded and need replacing, especially if the phone was exposed to water or extreme heat. Again, this is a 13 year old phone, so let's be realistic here. Out of the 9 that I have owned, only one phone had this issue, so I think it is fairly uncommon. The original battery will eventually not hold a weeklong charge like it did in it's heyday. It's a 13 year old battery. Mine usually last 2 days, which is better than my iPhone, so that's still winning in my book. If you purchase an after-market battery, you will have a good 4-5 days between charges. Pros! Amazing reception. This phone gets reception everywhere, and it's optional signal booster (AKA a pull-out antenna) pulls signal in every cavernous basement I have encountered. My smartphone cant even send a text in a basement, but my little Nokia is a mofo with signal. Texting! This phone has a wonderfully spaced keypad, and it's T9 implementation is second to none. It makes wonderful sense, with easy editing options, and the ability to teach your T9 new words. The '0' key is in the bottom center of the keypad, and it functions as the space key. Makes so much more sense than having it scrunched over to the right, like on most LG's and Samsungs. I hate T9 texting on any other phone than this one. Durability! This phone is older than my car. It is older than my cousins. It has outlasted MySpace. This phone is amazingly durable and well-built. And it still works. Cuteness Factor: This phone be so cute it give Bambi a run for his money. It is now a very hip fashion item, for those of you who wish to "disconnect" and take pictures of your "vintage" nokia on the counter of your favorite coffee shop with a perfectly chosen filter added before you upload it to instagram. Seriously, that happened to me once. A girl asked if she could pose with my phone. Refinery29, this is your new must-have item for summer 2015!!Read full review
The 6015i appealed to me because I have had good luck with Nokias and it is one of few tri-mode (analog capabilities) phones made for Verizon. I prefer a candy-bar over a clamshell phone. The screen and keypad are all a good size, and the phone is compact and light. Like many Nokias it's built like a tank; the replaceable outer case would have to be completely destroyed before the phone suffered any permanent damage. Reception is superior. The main drawback is that since this is an older phone, it lacks features such as a camera, MP3 support, or Bluetooth.
