This is a good solid product. The base is solid sturdy plastic, with 4 hard rubber feet attached. It's hefty enough to keep it stable on the workbench, and does not creep around as I work on it. Terminal clips are not connected to anything, but they each have a solder point under the base. I soldered wires, and insulated the points with hot glue. I drilled 4 few small holes in the base (between the clips and the breadboards) and brought wires through to the front, where I plugged them into the 4 busses on the thin breadboard.
