The 2056 was great, the evening I received it it was just looking fine. After using a metal wire brush to basically sand everything smooth, it looked amazing, it ran quietly and without any motor gurgling. The only thing it was missing was a headlight so I added a spare and it was just complete, it felt right. The locomotive is massive, in one go it can pull over half of all the cars I had under 14 volts, astonishing. The corrosion was easy to remove with the brush, the body was smooth after 1 round of brushing, and the smoke unit works great. This is the best item I will ever buy on eBay, I swear.

The 2056 Hudson is the largest and heaviest Lionel Steamer produced during Post war era. Only four 027 Hudson's were produced in this era! She weighs slightly over 5 lbs and is an inch longer than the 6-8-6 Steam Turbine. She is a great addition to my collection of 50 Lionel 027 Post War Locomotives. This Loco will be purchased again for my son's birthday in July. I will be looking on EBay for another great deal. Enclosed is a photo of the restored 2056 Hudson Steamer that I am writing this review about. The Xmas tree in the photo stands year round and is a 1950 era decorated tree in the middel of my layout..
