I bought this book at the recommendation of a close friend. It is shorter and easier ... I bought this book at the recommendation of a close friend. It is shorter and easier than the book I was using, which means it is realistic for even busy days. I also like the fact that the reader can start this book any day of the year, and move ahead. The entries are numbered, not dated. If I miss a day, I pick up where I left off and do not have to read extra to catch up, or skip to be on the correct date. each number has a Scriptural quote, a quote from the letters of Padre Pio, and then a brief reflection by the author. Each day's entry give the reader something good to reflect upon for that day. It is a good book to help keep the reader in touch with the spiritual every day. Padre Pio's writings are simple, down to earth and practical, yet spiritually sound, and "right on" religiously. A good read for every day!
