Solved an ongoing problem of weak WiFi signals within my multi-level house and dramatically improved the overall speed of wireless network internet access. AmpliFi HD Mesh isn’t a suitable solution for complex home networks (e.g., VLANs or inbound VPNs) or most business use-cases due to its limited feature set. If your ISP provides Gigabit Internet service, the speed of this “simplified” mesh network solution is limited to much slower speed (~500-600 Mbps?) unless most features are disabled by “bridge” operation. For complicated networks (or to retain speed benefits of Gigabit Internet service), you should consider other Ubiquiti UniFi network components (more expensive) which are better suited for such applications.

The packaging is way overdone! The box looks like they think you're going to keep fine silverware in it and re-use it for 50 years. It's overyly heavy duty. They glued 1/8" neoprene to the inside of the top and the plastic sculpted tray is glued to the bottom so you can't recycle the cardboard. Every piece is wrapped in plastic. It's over the top, unnecessary, garbage generation. Really disappointing in this age of awareness of waste and the need to recycle. Their tech support was reasonably easy to contact and tried patiently but was technically weak or perhaps simply not fluent in English (I used an online chat session)

This router is exceptional. I was using an AC5300 router with a range extender previously. It worked well most of time, but created extra SSIDs. The Amplifi HD works just as well, if not better, and creates one seamless SSID. It covers my entire house and both my front and back yards. When I move from place to place, it automatically switches to the most efficient Mesh Point without any loss of signal. I was concerned that Port Forwarding would not be available on such an easy to install system, but it is there and works flawlessly. My only complaint is that there is nothing to tweak on this router. It just creates a wi-fi system in your house and gives you one less thing to think about. On top of that, it is the most attractive router that I've seen

Great product, easy to install and configure with good app. Improved the wi fi coverage. I have 3 systems covering my place and 2 rented homes. Easy to manage and fault find with the phone app. Wish I had found this system before.

Used item came like brand new at a fraction of the cost. Plus the equipment does exactly what it says. I now have internet everywhere inside including the basement and was even able to get signal from my home access the street. I couldn't do any of that before with the router supplied by my internet carrier. I'm very happy with my purchase.
