I ordered this gift card as a present for Christmas. The person I bought it for had trouble redeeming it during check-out. The card would not read and he held up the line while the cashier tried repeatedly to redeem it. A manager had to be called to do something and then enter it in manually. The whole process to check out with the WalMart Gift Card took approximately 25 minutes. It did work, but it was not a nice and easy process.

The lottery type auction held for Walmart Gift Cards should be not allowed on eBay. It is clear that what is card values purchased & placed in sealed envelopes Vs what are actually in those envelopes are very different. When 10 10 different Walmart Gift Card lotteries are played, and in all 10 cases, losing money, NEVER gaining, defies odds. The odds of picking 1-10, and 80% of time getting a $5 gift card, when ONLY 20% of the cards are suppose to be $5 denominations, is impossible. This type of auction on eBay should not be allowed, because it takes advantage of honest buyer intentions while being sold by deceitful and dishonest ebayers.
I like the Walmart gift cards as they make a great gift for that hard to buy for person, or when you just don't know what they would want. The convenience of Pay Pal and not having to leave home, and shipping is generally free to very low cost.I have purchased several for the holiday season and it just simplifies gift giving. You will notice that with most gift card purchases that you pay the face value of the card or slightly less or more so there are no real appreciable savings but your time and gas make up for the added value to giving the gift card.
Great, easy to use. Serves a purpose. makes a great gift since you can buy virtually anything at walmart, from food to electronics. Useful. easy to look up and check balance or use online.
I was so happy with my purchase of the Walmart Gift Card on ebay! I had never thought of purchasing a gift card, let alone a $100 gift card while I was shopping online for my usual hobby and craft bargains and selling vintage goods I had restored. E bay has so much to offer, but it was a huge discovery to realize that it also offered a link to everyone's favorite store for everything!
