The band's members, all Texans, include founder and keyboardist Dean Sams, songwriter and lead singer Richie McDonald, guitarist Michael Britt, and drummer Keech Rainwater. Lonestar recorded its first album in 1995, and racked up platinum albums in both 2001 ("I'm Already There") and 2003 ("Greatest Hits: From Here to There"), and a triple platinum seller ("Lonely Grill") in 1999.
