  • Give it a chance, but still overall not that great

Ironic that this is an educational title, because if you don't 'educate' yourself on this fact before playing, you are likely to despise this game. While licensed by Nintendo, the game is the creation of "The Software Toolworks." Apart from the educational aspect of the game, many were unhappy with the absence of Mario (despite it being clearly apparent from the title that Mario was not to be a participant of the game) - additionally some were displeased with the exodus from the Toadstool kingdom to the real world (a byproduct of being an educational title.) The plot is interesting and the game is somewhat fun in a "Where in World/Time is Carmen San Diego?" kind of way. I also like how the game tried to utilize the Super Mario World look from the SNES.

  • Get it for the novelty of a rare game, not the actual gameplay.

The game is probably the pre-cursor to the SNES Super Mario Bros. The "underworld" graphics are that of the SNES game directly. This is an educational game, and therefore has very minimal action. You travel all over the world and in each world are three koopas running around with stolen artifacts relating to that locale. You get them back from the koopas (they can't even hurt you...dumb) and then go answer questions to get the reward for finding them. You do this until you've done this over the entire game (about 16-20 locations worldwide) and then you go defeat a non bowser enemy (he's not in the game at all!) and rescue mario. Pretty simple. Beat in a few hours. Got for the novelty of having such a rare game. Not somethig I'd play more than once every year if even then.

  • Poor Mario!

Mario games never get old to me and this is one of my favorite ones! I personally own just about every Mario Game ever made and love playing them. I really recommend that you buy this one because it is a really good one!

  • Luigi's worst game!!!

Mario goes missing? Impossible to play.
