A very realistic and enjoyable film about a U.S. tank crew traveling across the Sahara trying to avoid capture by the Germans. Humphrey Bogart is the tank commander and they pick up straglers along the way. A few British soldiers and then an Italian prisoner. Soon after they are attacked by a German plane and shoot it down. Now there is a German pilot too. They need to find water and after the first well is dry, they take a chance and travel towards another. If there is no water here, they are sunk. When they arrive they find very little water, but there is some. Soon, many German soldiers desperately in need of water arrive. Bogart and his group hold them off until they eventually trade all weapons for water. This was a great old movie filmed during WWII, originally as a propaganda film.
