This game delivers a good and diferent experience. It reminds me of an other great game, THE LAST OF US. Even theo they are years apart and you dont get to fight zombies, this game gets you into collecting items in your backpack. This gets you into exploring the terrain. The graphics are outdated and not at all like The last of us but this is still a fun game to play for its time. This being a rare game, makes a great must have for any ps2 collector.

Without watching a video of this game, you will be stuck in 2 minutes from the start. Too bad, I paid almost $50 for this in great shape, wanted to like it.

WAIT! BEFORE YOU READ THIS, IF YOU DO NOT LIKE GAMES WITH SO-SO GRAPHICS AND CHUNKY CONTROLS THEN YOU WILL NOT LIKE THIS GAME. IF YOU DON'T MIND THEN GO AHEAD AND READ! The main reason I got this game was because of its story(the whole get out of a city in an earthquake thing,) and because of how fun that idea sounded when put into a video game. So I got it and played away, and the first thing I saw was that the graphics were really... mediocre. It didn't bother me at all, but if you have high expectations on looks, you won't like this game. The gameplay isn't the smoothest, but is very unique. You have a health bar and a hydration bar, if you get hurt or injured, your life goes down, and if your hydration bar goes down you need to drink water or else your health slowly decreases too. One very good outlook of this game is that in a tremor/earthquake , you can press R1 to cling onto the ground that way you don't die. You will meet LOTS of other characters (some which become your partner through out your journey), and run around TONS of places in the city (like the park, town, mall...etc.). When you talk to the people in the city, you sometimes get to choose what to say from a larger list of responses. And something I didn't expect was that there is a very large twist in the story, I wont ruin it for you but its VERY BIG! With more then six endings, you can't go wrong buying this game (UNLESS YOU REALLY DON'T LIKE BAD GRAPHICS)!Read full review
I got this game in a lot of games I bought on ebay. I'm glad I tried it before I sold it. The game puts you in a city on a man made island. A large earthquake has happened, and the city (and island) are falling apart. The graphics are not great but they're not bad either. The play control is not great, but it's not bad either. Actually, the whole game is not great, but not bad either. The thing that makes this such a great title is that it's really FUN to play. Isn't that what games are for? The story is cool, and has a twist or two. With just a few changes it could've been a great story. The play control is SOMETIMES rough, until you get used to it. The camera occasionally goes into those "What the heck?! NOOoooo!! angles, but once you get used to the controls, those are few and far between. I understand that there are 7 endings. I've got 6 and am about to go get #7. Go to gamefaqs com for walkthru and tips/cheats info. This game was a surprise and is a joy to play. I won't be selling this one. It's that much fun. If you can look past the occasional camera fart, control fart, graphics fart or cheesy story aspects, then you may just enjoy this game. The game's not perfect, but I enjoyed it. And I'm off to play it again. Disaster Report 2 is called Raw Danger, and there's a Disaster Report 3 for PSP in Japan. I hope it comes here.Read full review
Disaster Report: chances are you've probably never heard of the game. It plays like any other survival horror game (Resident Evil series, Silent Hill series) but it takes out the horror part. I rented this game when it first came to the U.S., and I was impressed. It dosen't have the best graphics or voice-acting, and it's a very short game, but it is the most different game I have ever played. It allows you to use items you collect in the game to create better items, which is something I haven't seen really used before. It also has a good storyline (even though the voice-acting is some of the worst I have ever heard). If you can get over the fact that it has a lot of bad parts, you'll enjoy this rare and unique game.
