As stated in another review the printed circuit board is AWFUL, plain garbage. Exactly same experience as the other reviewer. Lousy, illogical layout, switches don't line up properly, assembly sequence is awful. I am an experienced kit assembler. I've assembled dozens of kits in the past 50 years, and this is the first one I've had to tin the solder pads to have any hope of the solder joints actually accepting solder. The solder pads then separate from the board. Total crap. I was using a top-of-the-line temperature controlled soldering iron at their recommended 700 F, and GOOD 60/40 solder, not the lead-free junk that comes with the kit. I tried their solder on ONE joint on the edge of the board, and it fried the board before the solder would stick to the pad! If any tech school is using this kit as an electronics teaching tool, they must be teaching frustration. Stay away.Read full review

This kit is absolutely horrible. The SPST switches don't properly line up, the choice of components are terrible, and the phenolic, single layer board layout is atrocious, even for 1987's standards. If "instructors" are using this kit in classrooms in 2018, I feel sorry for the students.

Comes in handy but, only sometimes. The drawback is that it does not come with electrical power. You have to supply it.

It is a solid electronics practice kit for a decent price.
