Great box, good features and easy to add components. Running Ubuntu 16.04, Apache, Mysql, Postfix + Dovecot email server behind CloudFlare front end. Hosting web data gathering applications written in Python and Analytics using WPS SAS language compiler. Added 2 SATA Crucial SSD drives, one for OS, and one for MySQL databases, using 1TB 7.2k HD for file store for now. Excellent performance with 8GB RAM, will be upgrading memory to 16GB as workloads increase. 4CPU Xeon processor is very capable. The machine is practically silent. This server has saved us $$ as we were hosting a virtual machine on Azure - break even after 5 months use.

The T30 is a good choice for building a server, especially considering the price. It has quick, solid performance. And there is ample room in the case for extras. One thing to note, the description says no RAID, and a sales rep from Dell said it wasn't available for the T30. But I added a couple drives and went into the BIOS setup and there it was. I can't say if this is true for all models but it certainly was for mine.

What can you say? Its a Dell professional grade product. Loaded with ports and up-to-date display options, its more than just a server. Want a gaming platform? Put a Radeon in it and it will wow you.

This is a very good value for this price with 8GB DDR4/ECC and E3-1225V5 CPU. Machine is fast and quite but one thing not work for me is it does not recognize the HGST 10TB hard drive. The BIOS cannot detect this drive but my older Dell T130 can. I don't know why, even I update the BIOS.

I saved money over using Dell’s site directly, and I’m very happy with this server.
