We needed a new one , as we had a older model(that was a LG) , we thought of LG, right away, ......the one we selected works great , the price was very good & the features are all there , well worth the money , if you need a reliable AC ...try a LG ..............you wont be sorry that you did ....................

The LG air conditioner unit works well enough. It cools down the room fairly quickly and keeps it cool. Assembly was easy enough, although the hose doesn't attach to the window insert as well as maybe it should. I have a nicer unit at my office that connects to the attachments better, so that's dissapointing. The remote doesn't work very well and feels like more of an afterthought. The unit is responsive, but the LED lights seem to lag. Once I get the electric bill at the end of the month, I'll be able to more accurately rate and review this unit. That could be the difference between a bump down to a three-star rating or bump up to a four-star rating. It also seems to lean to one side, which might be normal for a unit of this size, or maybe one of the wheels is sticking out more than the others. Who knows... Maybe I'll take a look at it this fall. Bought this refurbished for 300. Wish I did in the first place. It's not that loud at all. Its not anymore loud then any other window AC I've heard. And at 14,000 btu how can it not make noise. I am super impressed with how quiet it is. With the AC power it's putting out it cools fast then goes on fan mode which is super quiet. I'm in a 30x15 room with just this in a corner. I can hear the TV just fine. If you let some other review stop you from buying this your missing out. All of the open ports in the unit have screen/filter covers. The window kit is by far the most soild heavy duty setup I seen (I've had 3) with timer/sleep mode. What else do you need. If you think you don't need 14,000 btu?. Good. Buy it anyway. More power the faster it will cool down and the more time it will run on just fan mode. My advice. Buy it refurbished. Let it sit for 12-24 hrs up right after you get it before turning it on. Enjoy some cold air in your house. If your looking for a silent ac that don't make any noise move to Alaska and open your windows. Big FU to the ones that almost stopped me from buying it lol.Read full review

I purchased this item after a lot of research to help cool our 100 year old second floor master bedroom. It was fairly easy to set up and it works fantastically. We like a cold room to sleep in even though in the Midwest it gets pretty hot in the summer. Much nicer than any window unit and way cheaper than redoing your entire HVAC ductwork and buying a brand new unit.

Nice little unit. It's heavy but it has wheels on the bottom. Blows cold air and kept us cool during our AC repair. I would definitely recommend it. We use it in our basement now and it works great.
