The packing was damaged in shipping and some of the fasteners were lost. No problem since I went to the hardware store and got replacements. Maybe tape the fastener bag to the inside of the drum parts? The instructions were sub-standard and did not cover putting the drum together, which fasteners went where and what washers and lock washers were needed. I suggest the manufacturer spend some time on this. The motor frame was out of alignment and the tilt handle did not fit. I had to use a 3# sledge to straighten out the frame to get the handle in place without pressing on the motor. Might want to revisit the design here. The mixer operates quietly and efficiently. The paint on the inside of the mixer flaked off after two or three batches. It is worth the trouble to rinse the mixer between batches and dump the rinse water into a bucket. Old concrete or mortar can affect the operation of the mixer. I was pleasantly surprised at the design of the mixer. I thought it would be top-heavy and the center post would be weak. Neither is the case. The mixer balances nicely, rotates about the post easily, tips easily and is stable. The height seems good for lifting bags of Quikrete (80 lbs) and balancing them on the drum while opening the bags and the tilted height is high enough to dump mixed concrete into a wheelbarrow. We found that rotating the drum by hand helped dump out the concrete. I experimented with turning on the motor when tilted to get the mortar out, too. Seemed to work well. I used it for concrete and mortar. Mortar takes a lot longer to mix and tends to clump. Be patient and let it mix. This mixer does not have a belt drive but a gearbox instead. Much safer and short require less maintenance. I recommend this beast to anyone with more than a little concrete or mortar to mix.Read full review

Mixer was fine but packing was very poor. Lots of nuts and bolts missing. Had to partially put it together to figure out what was missing. Could use better instructions but is really a basic assembly. Came with big washers that the instructions never mentioned. Tank had a big dent in it and motor fan shroud was smashed in. Had to bend it out for fan motor to run. Seems to mix well.

The grandkids say it is a lot better than a wheelbarrow. Works fine.

the mixer had all the features I was looking for. I compared the features against $500 mixers and they were the same. I have mixed over 8,000 lbs. of cement without any problems. I would highly recommend this mixer.
