These are 1", which I don't think I would use to cover a wall, with any great sound ... These are 1", which I don't think I would use to cover a wall, with any great sound deadening. At least I'm sure my neighbors would appreciate double that or more. These were cut up and stuffed into sections of a hard camera case, to keep lenses and things from jostling at all. They're working great, and do not pull out of the case when I remove a lens! For just a few $s I've enough to last a lifetime.
