Told how to clean the last coins I bought and took awhile, still have 4 cleaning (plus these 6 new ones). Did find 1 silver coin in last batch, most dating around early to mid 3rd century. Almost all are Roman Empire era. Enjoyed getting them out of the crust and see what was hidden. More and likely order more after I get all these cleaned up.

I ordered two roman coins. I decided to scratch the one with my fingernail and use a toothpick. It turned out great so far. The emperors head has great detail and the reverse also has great detail. The other coin is heavily crusted so I am going to soak it in olive oil. The coins I got about the size of a US dime and penny.

I ordered 3 of these and am satisfied with what I got. There was so much material over these that my “roughest” turned out to yield the most detail. I used electrolysis and was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was. Will buy more.

Coins fully crusty just as in the pictures with no broken coins. Should clean up very nicely.
