If you don’t have one get one. Don’t charge during play it shortens life of a headset or remote over long time charge time. You can charge while playing but I myself burned up a mix amp a40 Astro wire at the remote. I do recommend kit it’s worth having one. Extra battery is also a must.

I like the easy way to recharge. A long charger cord comes with battery, you can still play while charging. Battery fits securely, hasn't dropped out while playing. I last the battery cover.
