Took the place of my standard slx for frog fishing and it’s been really cool as my first venture into dc reels. One little note...in order to get the ”advertised” dc control, you need to tighten the spool tension a little more than the factory recommendation. I’ve been setting mine to a medium/fast fall....side to side play gone plus a LITTLE more. Once you get your spool tension, it’s a very easy reel to throw.

This reel is amazing and the sing-song it makes when you cast. It bombs casts. With a 1/2 oz. lure I can easily cast 50+ yards. I'm running Fin's 30# braid to a Seaguar Red Label 20# FC leader and it is the bomb.
