A bunch of affable young folk. The guys are handsome, and the women are quite alluring, but all deadly hazardous to their hapless victims . Not that many victims, though, since these vampires are civilized and fairly well behaved. Altogether, very entertaining and fun.

I love this show, I've been watching it on TV every week since the first episode, and I'm just now collecting the dvd sets for myself. The price was awesome! I couldn't go wrong there... Although, the condition says brand new. This arrived to me and was NOT brand new. Packaging was opened, scratched and dented. The first disk has many scratches. Still works, but disappointing. Sexy Vampire Bros!
I am slowly getting into the swing of "Vampire Diaries." After watching the first and second seasons of "True Blood," I was wanting more of these blood-sucking vampires! This show is more of a soap-opera or teen based show, which made me kind of put it off for awhile. I was already an Ian Somerhalder fan (from Lost episodes and movies) and when I found out he was in this show, I knew I had to give it a try. His character (Damon) on the show is fantastic and he plays him well. His brother Stefan is a little goody-two-shoes but I guess you have to have a balance between good and evil. They make up the sexiest vampire brothers I've ever seen. The big difference between this show and "True Blood" is that these vampires can exist in daylight and blend in into the general public. Absolutely Amazing
This is one of the best series ever. I enjoyed the books and just recently read the latest installment, but I must say that I love the television series even more. It is truly amazing to watch the characters come alive on screen. The cast is made up of a diverse and wonderfully talented group of young people. And at the risk of sounding shallow, there is not one unattractive person on this show! Believe me, it doesn't hurt to watch a show made up nothing but beautiful people! I had my reservations at first because of some of the major differences between the book and the show, but you really just have to put all your feelings and expectations from the book aside and view the show as its on seperate creation. If and when you can get past the differences I know you will love it as ... This is one of the best series ever. The Twilight series of books and movies opened a door that many of us were wanting filled. The Vampire Diaries is a superb TV show with an excellent cast. The stories are unique, but also familiar. Teenage love and problems are complicated by vampires at school and in a town rich with a supernatural history. Witches, werewolves, ancient vampires that none can kill. The sheriff's daughter becomes a vampire, and this creates a unique situation because the sheriff has lived in this town her entire life, raised with a deep hatred of vampires. Eleana Gilbert is a doppelganger for the vampire who turned both Stephan Salvatore and his brother Damon just after the Civil War. But she is a very old vampire.
