First I am far from a cell phone aficionado. I bought it to replace my old Samsung smartphone. My wife loved it so I gave it to her. I will probably buy another. My evaluation of this device is based on my desire to keep the cost very low. I paid only $150.00. At that price, given it was used but in like new condition, it was by and far beyond my expectations for what I would get at that price. It is full featured and although it is over two years still completes with today's models in conveniences. Very high quality, very attractive. Great screen, great sound (this is a "Beats Audio model"). Only two minor issues. One the battery is hard to charge. A normal charger is inadequate... so for the car or home get a high end fast charger. Two I specifically bought an "unlocked" phone. And that worked fine except if used with a cell provider other than the one it was assigned to when new it will have limited or no hot spot Wi-Fi capability. This is indigenous of most or all brands of unlocked phones.Read full review
Biggest iPhone fan (since 1st until now) still loves it but now needs a open source platform for work environment. HTC one is the best option for that goal and yet extends to personal daily user preferences of right price, right screen size, handsome look, awesome beat audio and jelly bean 4.1.2 functionality. Top of the line, all around well-balanced smartphone. Arguably perfect with 4.3 update, richer color and longer battery life. However build quality comes not quite close to my iPhone 5 but hopefully better than Samsungs. I picked it out of other contenders: S4, Xperia Z and Droid Maxx. As a iPhone enthusiast, HTC one is my ultimate choice to run with into the world of Android.
This phone was not one of my first options but ended up with it. I have always used Samsung phones but this phone just looked so much more attractive than the Galaxy S4. I was one of the advocates of removal battery/ Microsd but after having used the HTC One for 2 months, I can't honestly say i miss them. The phone offers decent battery life that gives me a full days use with low battery warning late into the night. - turning on the screen to check websites 5 times every hour with about 5 minutes screen on time on H+ -Use Bluetooth audio streaming for car audio about 15 minutes from and to work -Turn of all syncing and location tracking -Few to no calls. mostly texts. The Boom sounds as HTC calls it is nice but not great, its not incredibly loud but does get the job done. The phone has fallen a few times and took it like a champ. Lastly the Camera is great for certain things. This phone excels in close shots and macro. The phone isnt great for longer range shots because of its 4mp camera that just cant take high resolution pictures like other 8 and 12 mp phones can. In the end this camera captures great pictures unless you need to zoom in.Read full review
I was an original Iphone user and stayed loyal to the Iphone until the Iphone 4. Switch to the S3 and now using the HTC one. As compared to the other phones I owned the screen is very crisp. The body of the phone is stunning. It does no feel cheap like the S3 or fragile like the Iphone 4 or 4s. The blink feed is a take it or leave it for most people. But if you are into social media, sports or like your news updated without having to do anything except for dragging the screen down, well this is for you. The battery life is good, better then my s3 and I do not need to use a battery saver app like I did on the S3 to just make it through the day. This phone runs fast and even if the camera is only 4 megapixels, they are larger then normal. Pictures come out as if they had been taken by my 18 megapixel Olympus camera. Side by side I can not tell the difference. Hold down the button and it will take up to 25 pictures so you will always get a perfect shot. The Zoe feature will record a 5 second video and take pictures at the same time. A real cool feature. The boom sound is that, boom! Never heard a phone sound so loud and so clear! The basic head phones that come with it aren't bad either. All in all I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone who wants a smartphone with a good camera, not as dull and boring as an Iphone but not to complex as some other android phones can be.Read full review
I wanted something different than the glut of Samsung products on the market and chose the HTC One M7. It is a 2014 model that suits me perfectly. Using on ATT network. Pros: Power on fast Long battery life Radio signal quality (no dropped calls in fringe areas) Loud speakerphone 32GB model has plenty of storage Cons: No removable battery No micro SD slot If you are looking to an alternate device that runs android I would choose the HTC One Series (7, 8, 9, 10)
