pro: Very good looking phone, easy to use, has camera, bluetooth, web access. cons: camera is less than 1 megapixel, limited functions compared with current cellphones. Overall: Nice basic cellphone, good signal, easy to use, decent battery life, basic photos, web access works well with sprint 3G.
This is a no non-sense flip phone that has good quality calls, texting and a basic camera. The battery life is impressive and lasts me three days on a single charge. It is a nice looking phone, but don't expect any frills as far a features go. You won't need a fancy plan either, which is why I personally like this phone.
I like this particular model for its' simplicity. If you have a DATA plan with sprint, this model DOES support Sprint Telenav GPS software which can be downloaded from sprint's online store free of charge. Also this device can handle Sprint Mobile E-mail and Opera 4.1 Turbo. Basically I can surf the internet just as if I had a computer with Opera installed. It is amazing that this lower class device can do a lot of the same functions as the expensive ones. All in all... A good phone!
I have a great deal on cell phone service through Sprint. They really hate that folks like me keep these deals and want to up-sell us to their more expensive programs and phones. So when my old phone started acting up I had to find something I could use with my existing service plan. My daughter suggested the Katana LX. I got a used one and it works great. I have since gotten a great deal on a new one and one or the other with be my back-up. I like the phone. One drawback I have found is the light that signals a message is hard to see, so I often do not realize I have one. I put a picture in to identify a caller, but the picture is very small - the old phone it filled the screen. Maybe I have not done it right - I am not that tech savvy. I would recommend the Katana LX for users such as myself that like a simple cell phone.Read full review
I bought this phone because i was sick of all these new upgraded phones! Everything was so much more complex with data plans and touch screens! I wanted to DOWNGRADE to something basic. This was the perfect phone fort that! It is ideal to text on, no problem there! The battery life lasts well over 3 days too!
