I have collected Star Wars toys, (and many other toys and figures) for most of my life. These Black Series 6 inch toys are about the most fun you can have with any Star Wars based action figures. I bought a Darth Vader many years back to add him to my collection of 6 inch toys, but have now started collecting more characters as I found the quality and poseability to be great. I have a ton of the 3 and 3/4 inch Star Wars figures, but I never enjoyed them as much due to their being so tiny to see and generally they lacked articulation. (Later on when articulation was introduced in the small toys, it was extremely flimsy due to the sheer small size of the movable joints.) As far as this Emperor Palpatine goes: He is nicely made. His elbow joints feel a little squishy, but nothing that will break with normal use. Also note he has double jointed elbows, as well as knees, unlike many of these Black Series figures which have double jointed knees only. His walking stick will fall out of his hand, but can stay in as long as it isn't messed with too much. He looks good, a decent Emperor likeness. His cloak is soft and nicely made. The articuation all works great, and he can be posed really well. I love this series and am adding more and more to my collection as I can find them.Read full review

Great figure. lots of articulation. I wish the cloak wasn't removable or cloth, but still fantastic. Could have used a lightsaber or some lightning effect pieces.
