    Pure Classic Sounds

    You can't go wrong with this collection. One great song after another. Though several groups tried, they could never duplicate the Ink Spots' classic sound that started with Bill Kenny doing a tenor vocal and baseman Hoppy Jones doing a great talking piece, usually saying " Honey Child" in a tone that would melt butter. Disc one sets the stage with their first hit, "If I Didn't Care", and keeps the memories coming. Disc two includes more of all four members doing some smooth vocal work. Both styles provide some very enjoyable listening. I was pretty familiar with their works, but was impressed with some songs on disc two that I hadn't heard before. Nothing disappointing about the collection, although I may have to buy another one because I'll probably wear this one out.

    I always liked the Ink Spots, even as a child. When I saw this handsome package, I couldn't wait to get it to relive all that fine music. It has met my expectations in every way--the packaging, the music, the sound quality. And, I got it at an inexpensive cost. The purchase arrived promptly, too. What more can one ask. Musicbob

    I have some serious concerns on the authenticity of this cd set. Not happy!

    I bought this cd set for my father who was a big fan of the Ink Spots. He says this is not them. He says they sound close, but they do not sound like the original Ink Spots. So yes, I'm very disappointed. I wonder now whether this was a counterfeit or fake cd set. I usually do not give a negative review, but this product warrants it.
