Seems great but....
Bought it because it had the fastest projected delivery date and I needed before reopening day. I need to obtain no-touch temps of each patient, before entering my medical spa. An unfortunate reminder of our “new normal” in this post coronavirus world. Every employee and every patient has measured a consistent 97.3 F for the last 3 days. The first few days that I had it prior to that it seemed to work beautifully. It’s quite possible I’m doing something wrong or I need to change some setting but the instructions are very difficult to read and I can’t find any thing to indicate that it’s a user error. I tried switching from body temperature to surface mode, and I was able to obtain different temperatures for surfaces but when pointed to the skin in that mode, it measure about 6 degree lower than the average body temp. Clearly needs to be in the body temp mode not surface temp. I just find it hard to believe that everyone who came through the door since Wednesday was a solid 97.3°. A few might be a coincidence but it’s been dozens of people.Read full review

Changing to positive review
I was able to change readout from celsius to fahrenheit by reading the manual. I am updating my initially negative review to a more positive one. I had to calibrate the unit to get a healthy 98.6 reading. It is now working more accurately. It still is a bit hit and miss. But much better and more consistant.

Compact and Easy to Use
I did just receive this thermometer, but can say that it is very compact, instructions are clear and easy to follow (changing from Celsius to Fahrenheit, etc). I took my temp both slightly away from my forehand and touching my forehead & readings were the same. Other thermometers I've tried that with came up with different readings. Very happy I purchased this one.
