This is a replaceable NOT cleanable filter. It works with my refrigerator and is easy to remove then install the new one. Not sure about how to recycle the old filters so information on that if its possible would be helpful.

Something is wrong with this filter. The one the fridge came with worked great, but so far, using the filters I've purchased off Ebay I'm tasting tap water. Really disappointing.
