The lights arrived quickly and the lithium batteries and charger work perfectly. The light have 3 settings, one dim, one flashing and one bright. I would have preferred that the brightest came first but it is last. The zoom feature works off of a circular ring which allows you to focus the light for a longer distance, which can be very helpful at night by not requiring you to come close to see an object. The batteries last for quite a while and take a few hours to charge. All in all it is a good flashlight and they make excellent gifts for the holidays.

They used to make these with the battery inside them, of which had a filter that absorb that stuff... what happened is a design flaw with filter as they sold to Many that did not work.,so what they did is sell you The pointer without the battery pack and this is where it is dangerous..So they are counting on you remembering how good they used to be, but are cheating us on selling garbage that is very dangerous. MIT did a review 4/12 about how dangerous they are. They also did an investigation..If you want to buy it wait till you see what you get,,they counting on that since you only spent $5 for three item that only cost 2 cents, at the most, and you see the volume. They are crooks.Especialy if you ask questions about the battery, ask a specific question, and you will see a response that lacks object constancyRead full review

This thing eats up those AAA's fast (need 2 of em). Sure works well though, works better than those "turn the key" ones, although not as bright. This one is better for multi-functional use. Really good cat toy compared to the crappy ones from walmart. Decent for astronomy at night. Not too overpowering to rule out being used in a presentation. Definitely a versatile brightness. The only reason I say 4 stars instead of 5 is just battery consumption. If used daily for 15-20 min it would need replacement batteries in 6-7 days.

These AlGaAs pointers are reasonable quality for an exceptionally low price, and have worked reliably for me. They unfortunately appear to have been mislabeled as Class 2. Using a Thorlabs PM100 with an S120B with wavelength calibration at 650nm, one pointer did come in just under 1 mW, but all the rest were outputting in the range 1-5 mW, so technically should be labeled as Class 3R. A class 3R is still reasonable for use as a laser pointer, but the labels should be fixed.

We used these lasers to point to stars and planets. They do this very well, even in the clean air of the American desert southwest. The only thing that didn't work great was that the batteries could become loose, leading to a weakened beam. We fixed this with a small piece of aluminum foil in the battery compartment to tighten the connection. Overall, we are very pleased.
