I have had and used a handheld, cordless vacuum for nearly two decades. My previous unit gave it up not long ago. It served well for a good long time. But this Dyson is over-the-top fantastic, It is an odd shape and I am constantly hitting the on-switch inadvertently, but I'll take all the new characteristics that need to be learned any day for the tremendous tool that this thing is.

This vacuum is just about the best cleaning tool I own. Multiply everything I say multiply by at least 5! It is well designed so that it is easy to charge and the charge lasts a long time. It's neither too big nor too small, too heavy nor too light. Suction is great. It fits into every nook and cranny that you can't otherwise reach because of it's narrow nozzle. It's easy to empty. It does every job you would expect a hand vacuum to do, but it does it better

The suction is very strong and picks up every thing. Easy to handle and very light weight. It is very handy and mobile. From house to car it will clean the hard to reach areas.

For under $100 (refurbshed), I'd do it again. By definition, ALL vacuums leave much to be desired. You have to be insane to pay MSRP for any Dyson. This was taking a risk and so far, so very good. It really doesn't vacuum for all that long, considering the amount of recharge time. However, for small jobs -- often in inconvenient places -- it is incredibly convenient. Not great to empty, a bit finicky.

Suction is much better than other vacuums that I have previously had. I would like to be able to get some extension tubing for the crevice tool.
