I bought this to convert my Remington 700VS in 308w. I had to inlet my stock a good bit, but i took my time and removed small amounts of material very slowly, each time stopping to check the fit. I did not modify the trigger housing, just in case it didnt work out i could always relist it as "like new". If you look on YouTube you will see a few butcher-jobs where guys cut the "ears" off of the trigger housing, but this will cause the magazine to rock back and forth. DONT DO IT. Take your time with a dremel and removal the stock material only. Just make sure nothing is binding or your get the screws in a pinch or the magazine will be aggravating to remove. Take your time. Time wont cost you anything, but over-aggressive dremeling will ruin your stock and make for an ugly hack job. Good Luck-enjoyRead full review

They say this basically is a drop in. I am pretty good at installing things like this. Parts of the Mag Well had to be cut with a dremel tool. I was afraid to take too much off the Mag Well so I had to dremel out a lot of the stock. It didn't fit front to back or side to side. I started working on this at 3:30 pm and finished 8:15 pm. That's 4 hours an 45 minutes, non stop. The longer it took the more frustrating it got. I finally got it done and it works but I WOULD NEVER DO IT AGAIN for myself. If I did it for someone else, I would charge $400, if that tells you how hard it was. After I spent almost 5 hours on it, it works fine. Wouldn't do it again.

The stock is of great quality. It is stout, ridged and the craftsmanship is great. Installed in minutes. Make sure you torque the action to the correct specs. The magazine well upgrade makes this a much better platform in my opinion. Easy in and out and reload for those long days at the range. Plus, the hinged floor plate is a pain with the glass up top and bipod legs if you roll that way. In the end, what you get is a solid chassis that will take on the roughest of conditions and come out just fine. Easy to clean, easy to add accessories with the M-Lok system, and makes a nice low end precision rifle a little better. Get some!

Solid and well fitting add on accessory. I put this on because my rifle wasn't the model with a base plate. Therefore when just the stock was replaced there was no way to retain internal magazine. I was going to get the mag well eventually but I had to get it right away so that I had a functioning rifle. Installation was gravy. Great value have been wanting somebody to make an interchangeable mag setup for Rem 700's for a long time. Glad it was magpul. Now they just need to make 20 rnd mags and get the price down to reasonable levels like the Pmags.

Installed on my 700 Sendero to replace the hinged floor plate. Wish I would have done this years ago. It took a couple hours to trim up my stock to accept the new magazine well, but it came out looking great. The next day at the range was perfect. Fit and function was flawless. I know these are made for newer stocks as a drop-in replacement, but with a little fitting it worked on my favorite target rifle that I picked up 25 years ago.
