for my 2001 Yukon. I bought this because I saw a video of it installed in a 2002 Tahoe where it fit fine. My box was too shallow to accommodate. I built a 1-1/4 inch spacer making room but leaving only 1/4 inch clearance at the back. The directions require 3/4 inch minimum. It works though not as much bass volume as I hoped for. The box is just too small in width as well as depth to deliver the capability of this sub.

Starts with a nice solid frame, heavy magnet with nice coating, good looking cone tight and responsive bit the ring guard is useless. Only have 4 points of contact that are almost impossible NOT to break when installing for protection. Not to mention, it's part of the design to hold the foam ring securely in place. Does not look the part of a 1200w sub designed like that! I have cracked 3 out of the 4 very poor design protection ring. Now it was very twangy like it was vibrating instead of pulsing.. I pretended not to hear it a d let it run, they letting It brake in a little. It worked! It's a fair sounding sub for 35 bucks, hard to beat for that price. If you do a break in and somehow do something or just get a better ring, it will fine for most... unless your going to put some serious HP to it, see what it's made of. I wouldn't.. smells fun after a songRead full review

I bought this to replace a factory subwoofer in my Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition truck. I looked at ones that cost much, much more but they didn’t meet the specs I needed for my application. I needed a relatively high wattage sub that was shallow enough to fit into a factory sub box without modifications. This fit the bill. I’d never used Planet Audio equipment before until this purchase but let me tell you, it’s done a great job at handing the 1000w amp I have it paired with. Handles the really low lows with ease and sounds really good. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again or purchase other planet audio equipment when the need arises. I very highly and enthusiastically recommend this subwoofer and Planet Audio, in general. Great value for the money!! You won’t be disappointed!

2004 Lincoln Navigator non-thx factory amplified system This little sub is very compact and fit well in the factory sub box. Take out sub and seal factory hole in back of box wire up install new sub all holes line up with factory done seriously that’s it the speaker ring that comes with it won’t fit on with factory Lincoln speaker bolts but you don’t need it in this vehicle it’s hidden behind kick panel and can’t be hit touch smashed etc. This sub sounds amazing in the box with a wide range of hz to blend right in with rest of system. However I’ve not ran it with the factory amp can’t see why it wouldn’t sound decent it is low powered amp maybe 55watts, I’m pushing it with a 1200 watt ma audio amp turned 3/4 gain and all boost off and it runs it great you can crank it up it won’t distort ,pop , crackle and carry on if you have an aftermarket head unit that can control subwoofer options it sounds even better I highly recommend this sub for low power use It’s great quality and built strong but it’s a small low power speaker I would say the 1200watt is spot on if you push more it will probably blow it But for money and slight factory upgrade or replacement it’s perfect if the time comes across for another I will without a doubt buy another Read full review

I got one of these to go behind the seat in a single cab Toyota pickup. Built a custom box for it small enough so I could still slide the bench seat all the way back and it fit just fine... For a thirty dollar speaker the sound quality is well I recently purchased 4 more to do a custom hidden system in an 08 Chevy Tahoe.
