Gotta Get it. If you like to learn about other people's culture's. This is a Movie that will give you a insight of the Chicano culture growing up in the LA Area. It gives up a insight on what bad decisions you make as a Youngster and the consequences. It gets more deeper. I don't wanna spoil the Movie if you haven't Watched it yet. If you like gangster movies you'll like this Movie...

Hey, you gotta love the Hommies.
This movie is good. If you like Cholo movies and are facinated with Mexican gang life in the 80s this movie will not dissapoint. The cast is strong and the use of real "hommies" adds a legitamate backdrop for the story line. Speaking of which, the story arch is good however it is a bit drawn out. It is filmed in the style of an epic but at times feels more like sitting in traffic, on the freeway, knowing you want to get off and at the same time knowing that the next exit is still half a mile away. Hey, at least the music is great. I do recommend this movie however. It makes a great drinking game and is oddly campy enough to be one of those: Raining on a Saturday afternoon with nothing else to do movies.This movie is good. I will watch over and over....
I lost my original copy so had to get another one. The characters are known, the movie shows what it is like growing up in a street gang somewhat. As the characters grow up each one takes a different path that changes them into Adults. You need to watch is all I can say, you either like or don't.

Desperate to belong to what he feels is his true family, he'll do anything to be a part of his cousins' gang--his "family." But a retaliatory attack on a rival gang sends Miklo, out on probation, back to prison, and he finds himself in San Quentin. As he serves his time and tries to find a place in the Latino power group in prison--La Onda--his hotheaded cousin Paco turns to a career in law enforcement, while Cruz ...
