Could not be more disappointed with Kitchenaid Mixer. Would return it if I could and buy another.
This bowl should have come with my mixer. Instead, I had to pay $50 extra to receive it. I hate the metal bowl but the glass bowl made all the difference. However, I hope I have a chance to rate the mixer because I am not happy with it at all. Back to the bowl. The major issue I have with it is that the raised area in the center bottom should be taken out. Dry ingredients collect there and after I think all my ingredients are mixed well, I empty the bowl only to find that I have to go back and mix in what was left around the raised bottom area. Also, the bowl is not large enough around the top to add ingredients without getting it all over the surrounding area. There is little room to add ingredients. The plastic piece that covers the top of the bowl is useless! It is cheaply ... This bowl should have come with my mixer. Instead, I had to pay $50 extra to receive it. I received this mixer last year for Christmas and really didn't get to use it until this year for Christmas cookies. I am sure it is out of warranty now. If I had a choice, I would return it and buy another brand. Also paid $20 extra for padded blade. It does no better than the metal one, as far as getting to the sides of the bowl.

Very Happy
Haven't actually hooked it up to the mixer and used it yet, but so far we are happy. It came packaged very well, plenty of padding to keep it safe. Lid fits great, quality of glass is great, measuring lines are easily readable, and it was a lot cheaper here for a brand new one than Amazon or anywhere else I looked.

Great bowl
I love this bowl. I bought it so I’d have a second bowl in case a recipe needs two (or I’m doing marathon baking). It’s bigger than I expected, which is a bonus, b/c then my ingredients are less likely to fly out. 🙂 It comes with a lid, which is really handy in case the dough needs to be refrigerated.

So much better than the metal bowl that came with the mixer. The glass bowl allows the user to see where food has been missed by the blade. Also, and this is big, IT HAS A SPOUT! It is so much easier to pour from the glass bowl. There is no dripping onto a surface. GREAT PURCHASE!
