I love the outdoors and go camping, hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking often so I wanted a rugged phone that was really unique. The Kyocera rugged phone is nice but it didn't look any different than any other Android smartphone. This phone says 64GB but it's really only about 50 GB because there's 15 GB of software pre-installed on it. The screen is really nice and I love the fingerprint sensor because I can sign into my bank account app, Facebook, and a few other apps using only my fingerprint. That is super cool. The camera is decent, although the Flash doesn't work very well. The light it uses is like a blue tint light so when you take pictures at night they look kind of blue. My last Android smartphone used two different colored lights for the flash so the pictures would come out better.... this phone only uses 1. There's also only one camera lens while other nice phones have a few. It's not a big deal I guess, although it would be nice to take good pictures of the outdoors since I'm Outdoors a lot. The thing I dislike about this phone the most is its weight. I read that it was heavy but I didn't think it would be this heavy. It's a really heavy phone. I don't like putting it in my pocket because it literally pulls my pants down, I have to tie my belt really tight so it doesn't pull my pants down because it's so heavy. I read that the battery can last up to a week but it only lasts about a day with me, but that's with me watching lots of YouTube videos and keeping the screen brightness up high. It might last a week if it's on standby. I love how you can remove the battery so I can buy extra batteries and just replace the battery when it dies. I haven't had a phone in years where you could remove the battery, so that's awesome for camping and backpacking and everyday life too. I paid $225 for this phone used and could have gotten the Kyocera rugged phone for about $100 so I'm not sure if I made the right decision or not. I like the way the older sonim xp-7 looked better. It looks smaller and more compact and more outdoorsy. This phone has a fast processor and no skipping or waiting for a page to load so it's great in that regards. So basically it's a pretty nice phone but very heavy.Read full review

A great tool - except for 2 things: 1) The weight / heft (yes - as expected) 2) Battery Life: Stand by time is decent; Even with power savings settings battery life is horrible with ANY usage (texting, futzing, and actual call time) the battery drops faster than a mike drop... Buy Phone + Get Extra Battery = :)

Always wanted a Somin but not at UK prices. Got mine from the US absolutely mint. It's replaced my Samsung S9 which is good, but I've never liked it and always worried about breaking it! The only downside is this AT&T unlocked phones second SIM slot is disabled. So check if you want dual SIMs. Other than that, fits nicely in the hand, Android 7, does everything the S9 did even a fingerprint reader.. Oh and it can be incredibly loud!!!. No proprietary power cable like the S7. No headphone socket so you'll need Bluetooth. Accessories are v expensive but unless you're using this professionally you won't need anything.
