J.A. Henckels Four Star knife's are the best on the planet. I have a set that I purchased in 1976 and they are as good today as they were when I purchased them. I recently purchased a second set because it has some new configuration of knives which gives me the exact knife I need for preparing whatever I need to prepare. I have a commercial knife sharpener as do most Chef's and that is essential to keep a keen edge. I usually only sharpen the Henckels Four Star knives one time per year depending on usage. Compared with other well known kinife brands which need sharpening monthly if you use the knife much. The High Carbon Steel used in the 4 Star Henckels knife's simply cannot be beat. The set that is now 41 years old is used daily. It will last my lifetime and the lifetime of my now adult children. Please do not waste your money on inferior brands that sell for less, they do not last nor do they keep a sharp edge. Shop, find a good set of the Henckels Four Star knives and purchase them. You will never regret your decision. The set I purchased on eBay was a real bargain. The seller was A++. With the new lazer sharpening these are the sharpest knives I have ever used anywhere in the world.Read full review
